Luis Lázaro, General Manager of Retail and Logistics at MERLIN Properties, shared at the DES | Digital Enterprise Show how at MERLIN we are transforming the sector by applying technology in the daily management of our shopping centers and logistics warehouses, developing state-of-the-art spaces that support the rapid growth of e-commerce, with strategically located assets and cutting-edge infrastructure that enables faster and more efficient supply chains, helping companies meet the changing demands of modern consumers.

He also highlighted the transition we are making from a traditional portfolio to a much more digital model with a commitment to data centers for AI – which could account for 40% of our revenues by 2029 – and logistics for ecommerce.

Alvaro Ontanon, CTO at MERLIN Properties, also spoke at the table “Fresh Branding Success Stories in the Hype Era”, highlighting how MERLIN Edged Data Centers has become a benchmark in Spain for offering a differentiating solution and being able to generate trust by delivering what is promised.
