Ruiz Picasso 11 LEED Zero Carbon: a sustainability benchmark
Ruiz Picasso 11 has become the first building in Spain to achieve LEED Zero Carbon certification, awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
This recognition certifies the building’s operational carbon neutrality and reflects ongoing efforts to move towards a more efficient and responsible management model.
To achieve this milestone, different factors related to the building’s operation were analysed. These included energy consumption in common areas and client-occupied spaces, as well as the impact associated with user mobility.
The Ruiz Picasso 11 LEED Zero Carbon certification highlights a strategy based on measuring, analysing and continuously reducing emissions. The aim is to improve the building’s environmental performance while maintaining the quality and experience of the people who work there.
This achievement was reached together with NTT DATA Europe & Latam. It also strengthens Ruiz Picasso 11’s position as a benchmark building for sustainability, innovation and the evolution of workspaces.
The transformation of the real estate sector depends on creating more efficient and responsible buildings. It also means preparing them to meet the needs of companies and people.
