Inclusive Urban Gardens in Madrid: sustainability and social impact
🌱 Inclusive urban gardens in Madrid show that sustainability can also be cultivated in the workplace.
Our Inclusive Urban Gardens, managed by Merlin Hub together with Fundación Juan XXIII, are much more than growing spaces.
They have become a way to raise environmental awareness, encourage healthy habits and create opportunities for learning and participation among users of our office buildings.
During the first half of 2026, the inclusive urban gardens in Madrid have achieved:
🔹 616.77 m² of growing space across office buildings including Adequa, Torre Chamartín, Aquamarina, Avenida Europa and Vía Norte.
🔹 223.06 kg of food harvested.
🔹 41.86 kg of food donated to the Food Bank and the Food Recovery Network of Rivas-Vaciamadrid, benefiting 400 families.
In addition, during this period, weekly environmental awareness activities, experiential micro-workshops, a new programme of inclusive sustainable challenges and a points programme to encourage user participation have been introduced.
These figures show how office spaces can become platforms for creating a positive impact that extends beyond the building itself.
Because cultivating sustainability also means building community, promoting inclusion and helping improve the surrounding environment. 🌱
