Larios celebrates 30 years as a landmark in Málaga

The Larios Shopping Centre is celebrating its 30th anniversary and has established itself as a landmark in Málaga.

Yesterday we celebrated this anniversary with the opening of the photographic exhibition “Reflections of a City” and an official ceremony attended by Francisco de la Torre Prados, Mayor of Málaga; Ismael Clemente, CEO of MERLIN Properties; Salvador Moreno Peralta, architect of the original project; and Pepe Lopez-guerra Román, manager of the centre.

Under the slogan “30 years reflecting Málaga”, the event highlighted Larios’ role as a driving force for urban, social and economic transformation, evolving in step with the city since its opening in 1996.

As the city’s mayor highlighted, “…the centre has established itself as a key meeting place for community life. It is precisely this commitment to quality and the value of the in-person experience that allows us to compete successfully against the digital environment, offering a vibrant and lively urban space”.
