MERLIN Properties sells a portfolio of 30 supermarkets for €110 million
- Disposals in 2021 amount to €227 million, exceeding the divestment plan for the year
Madrid, 23 December- MERLIN Properties has formalized an agreement with Realty Income to sell a portfolio let to Caprabo for an amount of €110 million.
The portfolio comprises 30 supermarkets located in Catalonia, with a total GLA of 55,388 sqm, and represents the largest supermarkets transaction in Spain in 2021.
With this transaction, MERLIN successfully exceeds its assets rotation target for the year, established in € 150 million. Throughout 2021, the Company has sold assets for a total amount of €227 million at a 5.7% premium to GAV, including the supermarkets portfolio, 1 retail unit, the minority stake in 1 hotel, 3 non-core logistics assets, 1 office building in Madrid, 1 BBVA branch, 2 supermarkets and the Aedas stake.
